Where is the MorningSun Art studio located?
Our physical studio is located in the heart of Flushing, Queens, at:
132-15 41st Avenue, Suite CA1, Flushing, NY 11355
It is easily accessible from all NYC boroughs and Long Island by bus, subway (7 train to Main St), LIRR, and car.
What are your class hours?
We offer flexible, year-round class times on weekends and weekdays. Students can attend classes for 2 to 4 hours per session and meet at least once a week:
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Students may join at any time during our active class hours.
Do you offer online classes?
Yes! We provide live, interactive online class options. Many of our students living outside the New York Metro Area attend our live online classes and produce top studio-quality artworks right from their homes under our teachers’ close guidance.
How do I register or book a tryout class?
Getting started is easy! You can book a tryout class to experience our personalized teaching environment. After booking, please complete our New Student Form to finalize your registration. What age groups and skill levels do you teach?
We teach artists of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced creators. We group our students to provide tailored instruction:
- 5th Grade & Below: Developing imagination, fine motor skills, and foundational drawing techniques.
- 6th Grade to High School Sophomore: Strengthening perspective, composition, shading, and working with diverse art mediums.
- High School Junior & Above: Focusing on college portfolio preparation, advanced techniques, and art competitions.
Do you help with high school and college portfolio applications?
Yes, specialized portfolio preparation is one of our core strengths. Our instructors guide students through building high-quality, unique portfolios. Our alumni have successfully gained admission to prestigious art high schools, such as Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and top universities including Harvard, RISD, Cooper Union, Cornell, Yale, Princeton, SVA, and Parsons.
