FAQ

Questions parents ask us

Don't see your question? Call or text us at (917) 765-8648.

How much do classes cost after the tryout?

Regular classes cost about the same per class as the tryout. The exact term price depends on the program your child joins, for example specialized high school prep or college portfolio. Call or text us and we'll give you a quote.

Are art materials included?

We cover all art materials used in the studio during the tryout class. Students are required to bring a set of basic art materials with themselves when taking our regular classes. We will provide our recommendation list of art materials. You can also get the materials from our inventory, we charge close to what they cost us.

Does the tryout fee count toward tuition?

Yes, within one month of the tryout class if the students sign up with our term program, $70, $90 or $120 of the tryout fee (depending on the level) goes toward the first term.

What ages and levels do you teach?

Students from 6 to 18, or above. Classes are grouped into three levels, 5th grade and below, 6th grade to high school sophomore, and high school junior and above.

When are classes?

Friday 4 to 8:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 5:30 PM, all year round. Students are required to attend one class a week, for 2 to 4 hours, at any time during class hours. There is no fixed start or end time, so your child can arrive and leave when it suits your schedule.

What will my child work on in class?

Every student gets projects and studio artwork tailored to them. Teachers choose each project based on your child's level, skill and interests, so beginners build strong foundations while advanced students work toward competitions and portfolios.

Can my child take classes online?

Yes. Many students outside the New York area take our live online classes and make studio-quality work from home.

Do your teachers speak Chinese?

Yes. Our teachers speak English and Chinese, so you can call or text us in either language.

Classes are small, so every student gets real attention from a teacher. A tryout is the easiest way to find out if we're a good fit.
